Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, Mrs. Vallerga was an aide at a
wonderful intermediate school. She loved the part she played in assisting
students with their learning difficulties. But, alas, Mrs. Vallerga wanted to
work with even more students. So, Mrs. Vallerga applied to a very very big,
scary college. THEN, it magically happened, Mrs. Vallerga realized a dream
and earned her teaching credential and masters degree in Curriculum and
Instruction - and the following year her Administration Credential.
Soon, Mrs. Vallerga was re-hired as a teacher at an intermediate school in
the district but, alas, wanted to return 'home' where she started as an aide.
So, with excitement, was asked to start the AVID program and teach language
arts at Eich Intermediate school! Could life really be this good?
Mrs. Vallerga is now one happy camper as she moves students to higher levels
of knowledge about themselves, their community, and the world around them all
through exemplary written, and spoken language based on the core curriculum.
Life is so so good!!
When Mrs. Vallerga is not in the classroom, she can be found grading papers
at Maidu library, exploring small towns throughout California, pruning her
roses and gardenia bushes, reading books like "Dr. Seuss and Philosophy"
(seriously?!) and, spending quality time with family and friends.
Mrs. Vallerga relishes her time with 'early teens', drinking chai tea and
eating the most valuable food in the world... cookies !
