FAQFrequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
What are ECS's Emergancy plans? ECS has emergancy plans in place should our school experience a situation where measures need to be taken to ensure the safety of students, staff and personnel. Please view our school's web-site for full details. What if we want to take a vacation during school session? First, try not to do this! Your child misses daily instruction and their enrichment classes. If you can't avoid it, write a note giving me the times and I will get as much work together as I can. Have your child complete it and turn it in the day they get back. Call the office and let them know you are requesting homework for your child. I will get the message and pull together their daily work. They can complete it if they are not too ill. If they are unable, they have one day per sick day to make up the work. Please send your child to school with a note reporting the absence, if not it will be marked as unexcused. Should I send a snack with my child when he/she has hot lunch? YES! Please do! May I pick up my child early on Fridays along with their Junior High sibling? 1st Grade has a full academic schedule Monday through Friday. I would prefer that you not do that. The 1st Graders love doing Art which is on Fridays in the afternoon. Art is a hands-on subject and cannot be reassigned due to the student's afternoon absence. |
