Name:
Mrs. Yvonne M. Anderson
Class:
1st Grade
My name is Yvonne Anderson and I am one of the 1st Grade teachers at ECS. I
was raised in northern California, otherwise known as the great city of
Oakland. I attended San Diego State University, and received my Bachelor of
Arts in Applied Arts and Sciences degree in Speech Communication. I love to
talk! This is my sixth year of teaching 1st Grade at ECS. My husband is a
great man of God, who wears many hats: associate pastor, web designer and
window tint owner. My son started at Escondido Christian Preschool when he
was three years old and he is now 13 years old and a seventh grader.
I taught in Riverside County as a Special Education Teacher. It was here
where I learned patience and love. Everyone has a capacity to learn and
those kids helped me to become a better teacher. I love being the bridge for
children as they exit the courts of Kindergarten and enter the gates of, "Big
Kids School."
I want all of my students to DO THEIR PERSONAL BEST! I want them to
know just how special they are. As the Psalmist says, "... for I am
fearfully and wonderfully made..." This is how our Lord has made us and He
does not make mistakes.
My high energy and visually stimulating class motivates each student to learn
to the best of his/her abilities.
