November Newsletter
We will continue our study of the Early Americans and their influence
on our country. We are beginning to fit all of the pieces together and gain
some understanding of what the pilgrims sacrificed to come here as we read
our book Pilgrim Boy. We will also learn more about the first colonies as we
study these states in the coming weeks.
We are moving along well with cursive-----I am so pleased with how
each student is doing. We will begin to write one or two words from our
spelling list in cursive.
Math: Adding and subtracting in the hundreds and carrying
in our addition.
Bible: Lessons on the life of Job with and emphasis on
controlling our tongues and demonstrating patience.
Kindness Focus: complimenting others
I look forward to meeting with you during our parent conferences next
week. If there is any change, please let me know.
Our class will enjoy a Mini Thanksgiving Feast on Friday, November
20th . We will keep it simple---information will be sent home later.
It’s hard to believe November is here already and we know how quickly it
moves into December. I will adjust the homework during the next few weeks
but please keep the Reading Goal growing. Enjoy this month as we remember
how much we have to be thankful for.
