Hi--my name is Becky Ferreira and this is my fourteenth year at Escondido
Christian School teaching second grade. I have lived in Escondido for
30 years and have been married to my husband Dave for 34 years, who is a
psychologist here in Escondido.
We have four adult sons and three terrific daughter-in-laws. One is named
Becky . . . so there are two Becky Ferreiras. There are also two second
grade Mrs. Ferreiras as Katie teaches second grade in the Fresno area.
My third daughter-in-law is Kristen and it is great to have these wonderful
women in the family. Our fourth son attends Cal State San Marcos and lives
on campus as a Resident Assistant. Oh yes, did I mention that I am a proud
grandmother? I have two precious little granddaughters and two grandsons.
After staying home for twenty years raising my boys, I have really enjoyed
teaching and being a part of this wonderful school. I am looking forward to a
great year!
My heart for our class this year is that every student will grow in their
understanding and faith in Jesus Christ and know Him personally. It is also
my desire to see each student mature in their reading and writing skills,
get excited about math, gain an understanding of our world, and develop a
heart for missions. Wow---we'll be busy this year!
