How do I know what is for homework?

Each day, homework is posted on the board in a special homework spot. We
spend several minutes each morning writing our homework in our Plan Books so
we can refer back to it each night. Homework is also posted on my website.

How do we know what projects are coming up?

There is a book report project due each month except December and June. The
Book Report portfolio has a schedule in the front and I put reminders on the
board and on the website. I provide a packet for the Science experiment
project.

Why do I have to file my graded papers? Can't I just throw them away?

We file our papers for several reasons. Sometimes we refer back to them
during a lesson to help with another lesson. We need to use them to prepare
for quizzes and tests. They also give us a good idea on how we are doing in
a particular subject. Once grades for the quarter are finalized you can
clean out your binder for the new quarter.
