Thank you Mrs. Furbush and Mrs. Campbell for a wild and wonderful
Thanksgiving party. You made the time fun and educational for the students.
Bless you both.
We are trying to stay healthy by wiping our room down frequently. We are on
our last container of antibacterial wipes. If you feel so inclined to
replenish our supply, we would be grateful. Thank you.
The Christmas Concert is Tuesday, Dec. 1, for third through fifth. Mr. F has
asked that the children arrive to the classrooms at 6:45P.M. The attire of
the night is Christmas type clothing or church clothes. So...charge up those
video batteries for a memorable evening.
Dec. 4th, Friday, there will be a Science Chapter 2 open book test. I know
that seems way in the future, but it is the week we return from Thanksgiving
Break.
A field trip is planned for Dec. 8th. The permission slip was sent home
on Monday, Nov. 2. Please sign and return it w/the money no later than
Monday, Nov. 30th. This will give the office the required time to verify
chaperone paperwork is all in order. Thank you.
A packet of papers was sent home on Thursday, Sept. 24th. The packet
contains a cover letter explaining the upcoming class Spelling Bee, as well
as the word lists. It is slated for Dec. 2nd, Wed. It is NOT mandatory that
your children study the word lists, but it is mandatory that they participate
in the in-class meet. Two winners from our class will go on to compete in the
school-wide Spelling bee on Dec. 4, Friday. Please note that parents are
welcome to attend the Dec. 4th school-wide meet, but due to nervousness, no
parents are permitted at the in-class meet. If you have any questions about
the Spelling Bee, please contact me.
Our school collects the following items to help raise funds for various
projects: used inkjets and laser cartridges, old cell phones, Major Market
receipts, Boxtops and Fresh and Easy receipts.
As of November 18th, please add the table of SEVEN'S to your multiplication
practice. Be practicing the 0-7 multiplication tables. Thank you parents
for helping your children memorize these.
The reading goal is 3,500 pages for third grade. For the week ending Dec.
4th, the students should have read approximately 1,400 pages to be on track
to meet the goal by OPEN HOUSE NIGHT. ALL READING LOGS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY
MAY 27TH. Thank you in advance for assisting your child in reaching this goal.
