The children received a packet of spelling words for our school-wide spelling bee. They need to start now to study those words in preparation for our class spelling bee that will be held the week of November 30.  Two winners from each of the third grade classes will then go to the spelling bee held in the chapel on December 4. Two winners from the chapel competition will then go on to compete in the district spelling bee held at Horizon Christian School January 20.

 

                    Our next book report is due on Thursday, November 12, so if you need the construction paper be sure to take it from the front of the classroom. I should also be seeing some reading logs because everyone has read a book for their report.

 

                    Remember, also, that school will be closing at 1:00 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for parent-teacher conferences. I will be seeing all of you at some time on those days. If you are having a problem with our appointment time, let me know and we can arrange to meet at another time.
