The children received a packet of spelling words for our school-wide spelling bee. They need to start now to study those words in preparation for our class spelling bee that will be held December 1.  Two winners from each of the third grade classes will then go to the spelling bee held in the chapel on December 4. Two winners from the chapel competition will then go on to compete in the district spelling bee held at Horizon Christian School January 20.

 

                   Our Christmas concert is being held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday the 1st of December. The children are to meet in our classroom at 6:45. They are to wear Christmas or church attire. Come and see what our students have learned during their music class.

 

                    Our first field trip will be taking place on December 8. If you would like to go with us on that trip to the Escondido Art Center, please be sure to fill out the necessary paperwork in the office. We will be leaving at 11:00, go to the center to see the play, and then go on to Jesmond Dene Park to eat lunch and have some playtime.  Each child is to bring a sack lunch that day. Since we will not be having lunch before the play, you might want to pack an extra large snack for the morning snack recess.We will return to school at around 2:15. Send in the permission slip along with $2.00 for each person going to the play.
