Hello everyone!! I am so excited to start this new year as your teacher in
US History, World Geography, Bible ethics and Spanish elective! This will be
my third year teaching at Escondido Christian School, but this will be my
fifth year teaching overall. I live in Oceanside, CA with my husband and our
two sons Ethan, 7 and Devon, 14 months. I am so excited to get back to the
classroom.
I graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2004 with a Bachelors degree in
Liberal Studies, and an emphasis is Physical Education. I later received my
K-8 grade California state teaching credential and I got my Masters degree
in Education in 2006. I was also a college athlete. I participated in track
and field and I also played womens flag football and basketball.
I went to Rancho Bernardo High School for four years where I also
participated in Varsity volleyball, basketball, and track and field. I love
watching and playing sports of all kinds. My favorite baseball team is the
New York Yankees, and my favorite football team is whichever team Brett Favre
is playing for! I also love to read, knit, cook, and go shopping.
I was born in Youngstown, Ohio and later moved to San Diego, CA when I was 5
years old. I currently live in Oceanside, CA.
The mission for the social science department at ECS has always been to see
God's hand in learning about "His- story" Each year we study different
cultures in the world in geography, and try to learn of the many places that
have never heard Christ's message. In American History, we study the Judeo-
Christian foundations of our country, and the Godly men who sacrificed to
establish this nation.
