Dear Parents,
Our Christmas concerts are coming up soon. This year we have a special treat!
Besides our scheduled school performances, Honor Choir and Band will have the
privilege to perform in Westfield North County Fair Mall. Our performance is a
missions-oriented local outreach to our community. Our purpose is to share the
“Reason for the Season” with the mall shoppers.
The performing students need to wear red polo shirts (preferably with our
school LION logo) and black pants/skirts. Please have students in the mall on
the 1st level near Gap/Coldwater Creek on Sunday, December 6th at 4:00 pm. We
will set up and start the performance around 4:15. Our performance will last
about an hour and then you may take your child home. I hope you will stay
during the show to give us your 100% support as usual. Also, just so you are
aware, we must keep the volume down a bit so it does not disturb the retailers
(at the request of our host).
This is our first trip of this kind and we’d like to leave a good impression
so that we are welcome to do this sort of thing again in the years ahead.
Please invite your friends and neighbors to stop by as they are out doing
their shopping.
Many thanks and God bless,
Mr. Filipovich
If you have questions regarding private music lessons, please email Mr. F. at
the above email link.
Parents: Do you play a band instrument or have you in the past? If so, Mr.
F would really like to know. Please email Mr. F. with your instrument name,
how long you have played, and whether or not you still have the instrument.
Please see my "Links" page. The link on the top (NoteCard) is the best free
program available for kids to learn to read music. I will be testing the
students on this game in class and there will be rewards!!
ECS has plans in place for lockdown procedures, should the need arise. In
case of emergency, students and staff have been informed of where to go and
what to do, whether they are in class or on the playground. These procedures
are reviewed and practiced by students and staff regularly.
