Grendel We have some wonderful pets in our classroom who would love to meet you. Please feel free to visit them at any time.
Grendel is a five year old Bearded Dragon. Although some people might feel he is a little bit scary, he is the sweetest reptile you could imagine who would happily sit on your shoulder if you'd let him. He eats crickets and other insects but also likes to eat fruit and vegetables. |
Scabbers Scabbers is a six year old blue tongue skink. Even though many people think she is a snake, she is a lizard, she just has really short legs. She is a sweetie, but she can get cranky sometimes and doesn't like to be woken up ...but then who does? She likes to eat shredded chicken, catfood, and her favorite treat is a hard boiled egg. She's supposed to eat salad and fruit also but she often just picks out the meat and leaves her vegetables. |

Puck Puck is a five year old Leopard Gecko and she is entirely an insectivore, meaning she only eats insects. Her favorite insects are silkworms, crickets, and mealworms. She's nocturnal, so we don't always see her, but she does sometimes come out during the day to say hello. |
Sir Slithers Sir Slithers is the newest addition to our classroom and we have been having fun getting to know him. He is a beautiful two month old ball python who was generously donated to our classroom by the Dow family. |

The Walking Sticks The walking sticks are a neat insect that were donated to our class by Mrs. Cadima. They are such experts at camoflauge we often have to hunt to find them in their cage. They don't jump or bite so the students enjoy carrying them around the class during recess. |
