Homework
Dear parents and students:
You can expect homework most every night. I might skip a day or two
for special occasions but not very often. When students go to college, high
school, and junior high they need to turn in assignments on time. Homework
helps students prepare for the demands of the higher grades. I tell the
students that "Nobody cares how smart you are if you don't turn in your work,
and nobody will hire you if you don't finish your projects on time."
Each day the homework is written on the board. The students copy down the
homework in the morning, and it's due the next day. If a student is absent,
the homework is due the following day. If the student is absent for two or
more days, the homework is due by the same amount of days they were out.
