About The Teacher

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Julie Button.  This is my 22nd year teaching at Fenton.  I was one of the 
teachers who assisted in writing the origninal charter petition and was present when Fenton was 
granted charter status.  I have seen so many changes over the years and can say that I am so thrilled 
to be a part of such an amazing school!

I received my BA from California State University, Northridge, where I also received my multiple 
subject  teaching credential. I have taught 1st-6th grade, but as of yet, have not been brave 
enough to try kindergarten.  I hope to, one day. 

I have spent most of my years teaching 3rd and 4th grade and truly love this age group.  I find the 
curriculum in 3rd grade quite exciting and challenging!  My favorite thing about teaching 3rd grade 
is to watch and foster each child's academic growth and independence. Oh, and of course, I enjoy 
having the children hula dance around the classroom.
