What is the best time to reach Mrs. Williamson?

You can call me before school between 7:30 and 7:50, at recess time between 
10:30-10:50, and after school from 3:25-4:00. Please leave a voicemail
message if I'm not available to answer the phone. Please call me as soon as
possible if you can't make it to a scheduled conference time.

What do I do if my child is absent?

Please send an absent note with your child the day after the absence.  If 
you would like homework please call me in the morning and I will send it up
to the Attendance office.

How much should my child be reading nightly?

Your child will be assigned one chapter each night in the chapter book we 
are reading. In addition, your child should be reading an additional 15-20
minutes in another book of their choice.

Should I check my child's homework nightly?

It is not essential to check that all of the work is correct, but it would 
be helpful for you to check that all the subjects are completed. You can
check your child's Agenda for the assignments which need to be completed.

If I don't understand the math how can I help?

Ask your child to show you their math journal.  This includes all the notes 
for the daily lessons and sample problems.

How can I help my child with reading comprehension?

Ask your child the 5W's after they have read.  This includes who, what, 
when, where, and why about the chapter.
