About The Librarian/Media Specialist

 
Mrs. Johnson grew up in Rocky River, Ohio (a suburb of Cleveland) and has 
lived in Glendora for 30 years.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 
History from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio.  

Mrs. Monell grew up in Buffalo, New York and has lived in Diamond Bar since 
1983.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from  The State 
University of New York at Buffalo.

Objectives of the Library

Looking for a book for a project or just for a good read?  The library is 
just the place for you!  Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Monell are both knowledgeable 
and willing to help you search for just the right book!  

The library is open from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.  
Computers are available before school, nutrition, lunch, after school and 
during the school day if available.  You MUST have your current picture 
ID/ASB card to check out library materials, textbooks and to use the 
computers. If you come during class you must also have a note from your 
teacher.

Late fines of $.10 a day are charged for books that are returned after the 
due date.  The ceiling for these fines is $5.00 per book.  Missing or 
damaged barcodes result in a $5.00 fine and books not returned to the 
library by the student will be charged a $5.00 per book recovery fee.

Passwords for Grolier, BigChalk and Wilson Web are available from Mrs. 
Johnson, Mr. Massey or Mrs. Monell.  These sites may be accessed at school 
or at home.

Books and materials are chosen consulting journals, California recommended 
lists and requests by teachers.  All material conforms to the state 
standards.

Textbooks and class supplements are checked out from the library.   

The library strives to be a place of study, research and welcome to all 
students.
