Philosophy of Education

Teaching is a daily task. As a teacher, as well as mother of two girls and a
boy, I have been blessed to have the responsibility to mold children’s
characters to become Christ like. Children view our actions as much as they
listen to our words. As I strive to become a strong role model for my
students and children,I continue to display through my words and actions the
valuable characteristics that I live by as a Christian.

I believe that teachers have an enormous impact on our youth. God has given
teachers a valuable tool to teach the young the importance of life. As a
teacher, I strive to provide my students with an abundance of knowledge,
experiences, problem solving strategies, and a safe comforting environment.
Teachers help build the foundation that help students grow and develop into
successful productive adults.

As a professional educator my goal is to be a positive role model for all of
my students to look up to and to respect. It is important that students feel
comfortable and able to come and talk to their teachers whenever necessary.
Teachers are not only educators they also play the role of parenting,
nursing,and authority.

It is my commitment that I will differentiate instruction to meet the needs
of each of individual student. Thus, I will provide lessons to ensure every
student achieves educational success. Learning can be taught in various ways
of instruction. Various teaching strategies will be used in order to
successfully educate all students.

I will also do my best to ensure the parents and/or guardians of my student
remain involved. We need to work together as a team to make sure that our
student succeeds. Parent involvement is another key aspect to a successful
education.

In closing, my students need to know they are important to me and I value
each of them individually. When I teach, I see students as my own children. I
want the best for my biological children, as much as I do for my “classroom”
children. Teaching with compassion, love, and positive discipline will
enable me to succeed in my responsibilities. Jesus was the greatest teacher of
all. As challenging as it may be, I strive to teach by His philosophy and
guidelines.

always remember the way you made them feel.” Author Unknown

My Mission for this Year:

The mission for my class is to work cooperatively with parents and community
to prepare children to become lifelong learners and productive citizens. The
school will provide a learning environment to develop the whole child to his
or her fullest potential, with values that represent an appreciation and
respect for self, others, and the world around them.
