My name is Lee Zabinsky, and this is my 30th year of teaching. Most
of those years have been spent teaching Junior High Language Arts here at
Grace, and even after all this time, I still find every day rewarding. My
husband Dennis and I live in Valley Center and have four children. My son
Kyle is a San Diego Deputy Sheriff, and he and his wife Aerielle have an 18-
month old baby with another one on the way! Aerielle team-teaches in our
fourth grade classroom with Mrs. Arnold. My daughter Bonnie got married this
past summer is finishing up her graduate degree at Westminster College in
Utah. Ruthie is in her second year of college at CalPoly San Luis Obispo and
Miriam is a senior at VCHS. We are AVID sports fans and love the Chargers
and the Padres! To relax, I enjoy running, swimming, hiking, biking, and
scrapbooking.
My hero is Jesus, my Savior. I have dedicated my life to sharing His
great love for all of us and His saving grace. I have found no greater
joy than living each day for Him. He loved me enough to sacrifice His life
so that I may be forgiven from my sins and live forever with Him in heaven.
Amazing!!
My goal in Language Arts is that each student grow to love both reading
and writing. I want my students to also find value and reward in hard work
and to grow not only as more competent, confident English students, but also
in their strength of character and in their faith in Jesus Christ. I promise
I will pray for each student every single day, and I am completely committed
to helping them understand any lesson that I teach. I know in my heart that
teaching is what I was born to do.
