Fourth Grade Gazette

Weekly Greeting

Welcome to the last week of school!  I can't believe time has flown by so quickly.  Truly, this year has been beyond wonderful.  I know we are all looking forward to summer, but it with sadness that we say goodbye as well.  I look forward to frequent visits and updates from you in years to come and will always hold this class dear to my heart.  Thank you for being so amazing and for making me feel so loved this year.   I will miss you all and hope you have a great summer.

This Week

Tuesday:  Clean up (students need extra bag tomorrow).  Talent Show at 1:15 in the Gravenstein MPR

Wednesday:  Bike Ride at Spring Lake

We will be leaving at 9:00 AM and back at 1:00 PM.
Students need helmet, water, sunblock applied, bike, and lunch for the day!  We can't wait for a GREAT and safe ride around the lake

Thursday:  Important items go home.  Letters to fifth teacher.  Final clean up.  Folders home.

Friday:  Picnic on the field!  Bring a snack to share with Mrs. H's class and our class if you are able (48 students)!  Students may bring a lawn chair or blanket to eat lunch on (your child should come to school with a lunch on Friday). We will have water activities, fun, and celebration as a fourth grade ENRICH! team.  You are welcome to attend as we would love to celebrate a successful year with you as well!   The picnic will go from 9:00-11:30 AM.

 Monday Folder

Each Monday, I send home a folder filled with work your child completed the previous week. I will always specify here what needs to be returned to school (in the folder) on Tuesday.  This week,  Monday Folders are coming home on Thursday.  All the final graded work will be inside.  (This will include book reports, Fort Ross Projects, etc)

Wish List

No items needed this week!  Thanks for the many donations that have come in throughout the year.  I am so grateful!

Thank You

Thank you so much to those of you who were able to attend the Fort Ross Field Trip.  We had such a wonderful time speaking Russian, fishing in the cove (and catching an eel), cooking food, accounting for gear, creating artwork on the beach, and firing the cannon.  I could not have done this trip without your help.  This includes the help I got with donations to the classroom.  Thank you a thousand times and I hope everyone has finally caught up on sleep!
