Book Club

For students who love to go above and beyond, there will be an independent book club running in our classroom throughout the year.  All students in room 17 are more than welcome to join, but the book club is in no way mandatory.  It is specifically designed as an extra activity for those children who are interested and eager to participate.  Your child's grade will not be affected based on participation or lack there of in this club.

Each trimester, a different book will be assigned for extra, independent reading to those students who are interested.  These books will not be provided, but can be located in both our school and county library.  Students who read the novels listed below may meet with me on the date assigned for a special lunchtime discussion/tea about the novels.  We will specifically be focusing on "survival" this year as our classroom theme, and questions and prompts will be centered around this idea.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me.

Again, this is an extra, independent book club, and your child should participate only if he/she has the time, eagerness, and desire to do so.  Thank you!
