It is a pleasure to introduce myself. My name is Sheryl Cossey.
When I speak, people often detect a Southern accent. This has developed
over the years from living in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas
before moving to Danville in 1994.
I began teaching First Grade straight out of college in 1976, but my life's
journey subsequently took me into the corporate world for almost two
decades. I returned to my career of choice - teaching - in 2002 when I was
fortunate enough to once again have the opportunity to teach First Grade,
this time at Greenbrook!
My family includes my son and daughter-in-law, Chris & Stacy, who live
in Phoenix and are expecting my first grandchild in October 2011. Valerie, my
daughter, is in her senior year at Chico State. Jenny, my step-daughter,
lives in Sacramento. My husband, Mark,and I share our home with one dog and
two cats, all "inherited" from our children. We are very happy and feel
truly blessed!
