About The Teacher

I've been teaching at Greenbrook for 14 years, this is my fifteenth. I taught
3rd Grade for 9 years, five in 5th. I love teaching kids and can't imagine
doing anything else for a living.

I have two kids of my own; Megan is turning 10 this November, and Sean is
turning 7 in December. My wife's name is Sabrina and we've been married for
13 years.

I live in Pleasant Hill, I have two cute, but angry guinea pigs named
Squirrely and Fudge-Fudge. I am sure you'll hear more about them as the year
progresses. They are lots of trouble! I like cars, motorcycles, bicycles,
surfing, most boardsports, and traveling. My favorite places are Mendocino,
anywhere near the ocean where there might be some waves, the mountains,
Disneyland, and Hawaii. I love pizza, Indian food, and Mexican food, Peet's
coffee, and try
to eat a healthy diet. I'm afraid of heights, and small woodland creatures
don't seem to like me very much (guinea pigs excluded).

Mission For The Class

Our 5th grade commitment is to provide an educational environment that
allows all students equal opportunities to meet and exceed state and
district curriculum standards. Our 5th grade classes are designed to
provide an exciting atmosphere that will challenge students at an
appropriate pace. Students will develop critical learning skills, build
confidence, increase self-esteem and learn strategies for test taking, by
actively engaging in a positive learning process. It is our passion and
responsibility to offer students an inspiring and well-prepared curriculum
to learn from. In doing so, students will experience great academic
successes and improved test scores. We are confident that the commendable
achievements that students will earn this year will have an amazing impact
in other areas of their lives.
