Welcome to First Grade! As I start another year at Greenbrook, I could not
imagine being anywhere else (Go Eagles)! I truly believe First
Grade is a magical year and come next June, you will be amazed at how much
your child has grown. I look forward to leading your child on this
exciting journey.
As for me...I grew up in Moraga and I graduated from Chico State. I now live
in San Ramon and I'm very fortunate because my family, as well as many
of my childhood and college friends continue to live in the area. I love to
travel, read, workout, spend time with family, friends and I am always in
search of a beautiful, warm beach!
Upon entering my classroom, I want each and every one of my students to feel
safe, respected and most of all, I want them to believe in themselves. I want
my classroom to be a warm and caring environment, where students take pride in
their work, as well as knowing mistakes are okay and part of the learning
process. I want my students to be excited about learning and I want to
instill in them a passion to be life long learners. If my first grade
students can one day fondly look back on their time in my classroom as a year
they were encouraged to do their personal best academically, and socially they
learned the importance of treating others with fairness and respect, then I
have done my job successfully.
