Accelerated Reader (A.R.): Students have been given a Trimester 2 goal. They are to achieve that goal within the trimester. Students are to read each night for a minimum of 20 minutes. Parents/guardians are to sign every night.
We currently finished reading,Where the Red Fern Grows. I expect all of my students to take an A.R. test.

Social Studies: We continue studying The American Revolution and many of its interesting stories and facts. We are currently studying the English Colonies, the Triangular Trade Route, the Middle Passage, and the slave trade.
Math: We will continue working out of Chapter 7 (Algebra: Integers & Equations). Students should expect a math homework assignment to be assigned each day. To earn full credit on homework assignments students need to complete the assignment and show their work. Students will also be taking a quiz on a weekly basis.
Science:
Upon returning from Winter Break we will begin a new unit on Life Science. We will be studying and learning topics such as the Structure of Living Things, Plant Uses and Functions, and Human Body Systems. Each week we read a selection, take notes, discuss the reading, and students complete practice book pages. Once we finish a chapter there will be a Chapter Test. Chapter 1: Lessons 1 will focus on "Cells."
