Everyday there are new and exciting things happening around us. Your job is
to report on what is happening in the community and the world around
you.The current events program is a year round public speaking program.
Each student is required to give four oral presentations about an
appropriate, non-violent news article of their choice.
On your assigned day, you are to bring in an article from either the
newspaper or online and a short summary of the article. Your summary SHOULD
NOT be copied word for word from the article. When it is your turn to
present, you may use an index card, but you should not read directly from
it.Be sure to us the public speaking guidelines that we have discussed in
class.

schedule on the board in the classroom. Pay attention to your
assigned day as it is your responsibility to come to school prepared on
