Reading
We will continue Unit 3 “Finding Friends”. Some of the skills we will work on this week are oral blending (ma chine – machine), word parts, compound words and letter order.
***Pre-decodable Books***
Please practice each night and make sure that your child points to each word as they read to you.
Math
We are continuing Chapter 5 “Numbers to 10”. Have your child count things at home (number of plates at the table, socks in a drawer, etc.) We are writing numbers to 10. Please practice with your child at home, making sure they are forming the numbers correctly.
Weekly Cougar Folders
PLEASE send in Cougar folders EVERY Friday with decodables and sight word rings inside.

If you don’t drop your child off in the morning but would like to make a donation, please email me to let me know.

As the weather changes I wanted to ask that you make sure you have your child’s name written in their coats or sweatshirts.
If it is raining hard at dismissal time I will open up the gate and you can come into the classroom to pick up your child. That way we won’t all be standing in the rain.
Have a wonderful week!
