Health

A student with a fever must remain at home for 24 hours after the
fever has broken. School policy states that a child who vomits at school
will be sent home (refer to School Handbook).

The health policy is strictly enforced to protect both students and staff.
Please council your children on healthy habits, such as coughing/sneezing
into the elbow; wash hands thoroughly with soap and water; do not share cups,
straws, spoons, lip balm, etc.

HEAD LICE: Remind students not to share headbands, brushes, hair accessories,
hats, etc. Head Lice is a reportable contagious illness. If your child has
head lice, he/she needs to be treated. The school office has information to
help - call 978-1355. Holy Family School has a nit-free policy. Students who
have been treated are required to check-in at the school office for a head
check before returning to class.

FIRST GRADE STUDENTS are required to have a physical exam within 18 months
of entering first grade. Forms are available for download from this web site
under "Forms".

7th GRADE STUDENTS are required to have proof of Tdap booster given after the
age of 7. Proof of booster must be submitted prior to school entry in the
fall. This is a one-time booster and need not be repeated annually.
