Lunch Bunch Program

The intention of this program is to motivate the students to complete all
necessary homework in their classes.  The number of students in Lunch Bunch
this year has grown as the year is progressing.  How do I know if my child is
in Lunch Bunch?

Homework Alert Post Cards

To help all students and parents understand the importance of homework and to
maintain good grades, Team Delta will send Homework Alert Post Cards. Any
student who has missed one or more assignment in any content area will receive
a post card once a month.  The goal is to help students change their study
habits and become responsible students who understand the importance of 
completing their homework on a consistent basis.   Remember to participate in
8th grade activities students must maintain a 1.75 GPA (Grade Point Average).  
    

Homework and Grading Policy

All Team Delta teachers assign homework on a regular basis.  Homework is
posted every Monday for the entire week and students are given time to write
their homework assignments in their Agenda.  Team Delta supports JWMS
Homework Policy and homework is due the following day unless the teacher
provides specific due dates.  Below please find the percentages per category
of all work provided to your child.  
  
Agenda/Spiral/Participation = 5%
Homework = 15%
Classwork/Labs = 20%
Quizzes = 25%
Tests/Projects = 35%

Don't miss work - don't waste precious gas driving all the way to JWMS -
parent conferencing right in your own home. Give us a call or send us an email
and within 24 hours a teacher will respond to your message.

Items to ask your child prior to calling:

   1. Are you completing your homework DAILY?
   2. Are you paying attention in class?
   3. Are you prepared for class with paper, pencil, pen, etc?
   4. Are you attending tutoring?
   5. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2:05 - 3:00 PM
