Dear members and applicants! The School year has started and so did the CSF (California Scholarship Federation) year.
What is CSF? It is an honorship society, similar to a club, that honors students for high academic achievments.
Who are CSF members? Students that earned high academic in the semester preceding their application can join CSF. They need to have earned at least 10 CSF points, as follows: "A" in a course = 3 points, "B" = 1 point. AP / honors courses can add 1 point each, up to two courses.
Why should I join? - CSF membership for 4 semesters during 10th-12th grade rewards your with a CSF seal on your high-school diploma, and is an important addition to your college application. - Active members have the apportunity to bind with other high-schieving students, while: * Preparing together to the challenging applications for college scholarships and grants. * As part of the preparation we will have at least one field trip to a local university, which will be selected by the members. * Fund raising for the trip will include participating as an audience of TV shows, and school based activities.
How can I join? If you earned the qualifying grades, bring a copy of your most recent report card (Fall 2005-6), fill an application form and pay semester dues of $5.00. Submit at rom C213. Application deadline next semester is February 16th at lunch. When does CSF of Kenedy High-School meet? The meeting will be held on Thursdays once every three weeks at C213, Mrs. Kreiselman's Classroom. The exact dates of our meetings will be published separately. However, until the deadline (02.16.06), Mrs. Kreiselman will be available daily at lunch. So, come and turn in your applications!
