CSF Updates

>>>>05.13.06 To whom this may concern - congratulation on completing your AP tests, and good luck on your CSTs!!! Our next meeting will take place this Thursday, May 18th during lunch time. On teh agenda - our participation in the 9th grade orientation next week (a very important exposure of CSF and another opportunity to work out our plans for next year). Also - last minute planninbg of another college trip, if possible. We are limitted to do so only by June 8th, but better try than not. If you have any ideas regarding distinguished guest speakers abotu college/university applications, please let us know. Looking forward to seeing you all on Thursday!

Officers meet every monday at lunch in C213. If you would like to speak to them or contribute to our discussions - feel free to join.

Our Next Meeting will be in two weeks (not three as announced, due to my field trip) - March 16th, lunch C213.

>>>>01.22.06 Our last meeting this semester was last Thursday. we hope you all knew abotu the meeting, and now hold the application form for the spring semester. I will make more copies for more applications, including new member applicants.

* The On-Camera fund raising we voted on, Mad TV, is al booked up. So, going with the available options, we are scheduled to go to "Eve", on Thursday, February 23rd. The show begins at 5:00, a bus will be waitign for us at 3:45 pm. If you want to add non-members to join - go ahead. As long as we have about 40 people going, the bus is justified.

* The due date for Spring Applicaitons (Report Card copy+form+$5.00) is Februrary 16th, a week after all recieve their 20th week report card. You can pick up and turn in applications during lunch time, or right after school.

* The first meeting is on February 23rd, when we will also elect officers.

On behalf of CSF officers and myself - I would like to wish you all success in yoiur final exams!

>>>>12.08.05 Post UCLA Field trip - I think all that attended would agree the trip was a success, regardless of Zach's endless (and unheard) talk. Should we repeat the trip to another campus? We'll see. Meantime - Please note the following:

A. Several members did not pay their $5 dues. Get it done, guys! We need to clear the semester!

B. A number of chocolate sales have not been turned in. please hurry up, so I cna pay the company their share.

C. Our next meeting wil be January 12th during lunch. Please make the effort to attend. The following meeting will alreay be in the Spring semester, and by then you will apply for membership (renewed or new) according to the Fall semester's 20th week grade.

So, KEEP UP THE HIGH GRADES!

D. Officers - we will meet this Monday. Last meeting before the break - please don't skip.

>>>>10.30.05 Dues, UCLA Field trip: If you were absent from our last meeting, please make sure to pay your dues as soon as possible. You can either pay our treasurer, John Daliva, or come to my room during lunch / after school.

we are schedculed to have a campus tour at UCLA on Thursday, December 8th. We will leave during home-room and return before period 6. Please check this web-page for updates. Dues are particularly important to fund the trip, but we are also working on fund-raising activities. If you have any ideas, please let the officers know.

December 8 - UCLA tour

9:00 - 2:00 (That is - you can still go to your 1st and 6th periods). We will go by bus, which will be covered by the member dues and past account. The trip will be instead of our meeting before Winter break.
