MONDAY, NOVEMBER 16th: Finish Common Sense reading notes (read ch. 6.4 &
take notes) as well as Common Sense cover page/descriptions (due Tue. 11/17)
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 17th: Read & mark the "Your Rights & Mine" article &
answer the questions (due Wed.)
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 18th: Read & mark the "Women in the American
Revolution" article & answer the questions (due Thur.)
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19th: Answer the Revolution Review Questions (due Fri.)
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23rd: Make sure your packet is complete; prepare for the in-class
essay on Tuesday, Nov. 24th (40 pts.); write your thesis statement & type your outline for the
Americana Research Paper (due Tue. 11/ 24/09)
* If you've been absent, be sure you are reading chapters 6 & 7 from
History Alive to get more info. (since you've missed class discussions).
* Your Ch. 6 & 7 Packet is due on Monday, Nov. 23rd; we will have an in-class
essay test on the American Revolution (chapters 5, 6, & 7) on Tuesday, Nov.
24th.
* Check your grades-- click on "GRADES", type in your last name and
under "Password" type in your Student ID#
* We've chosen our Americana Research topic on Friday, November 13th in
GATE English classes.
* Americana Performances (for GATE History and GATE English) will be on
Thursday, Feb. 4th and Friday, Feb. 5th. (Please see the "Calendar" section
of thiswebsite for more dates.) We have a mandatory dress rehearsal all day
Sat. Jan. 30th. There will be other rehearsals during the Saturdays in
January. Students will be researching a historical era/group/person; the
thesis statement & outline for the research paper is due Tue. 11/24/09, the 3-
4 page (typed) research paper rough draft will be due Fri. 12/4/09 & the
final draft will be due Thur. 12/10/09; the monologue that students will
write will be due Thur. 12/17/09.

Stations" (4 stations total, including the propaganda sign and the name tag)
tonight; this packet of Background Info., your colonial "Talking Points"
