FAQFrequently Asked Questions in Physical Education
What do I do if my lock is lost? Please go to one of the PE teachers and they will help you find your lock. Each lock has a serial number on the back of them and that is your lock's identification number, it's like your lock's name. If you cannot find your lock you need to pay for the lock you lost and you will be given another lock. Please do not go out and buy a lock from another store, the locks we issue have keyholes so that we have access to your locker should you get hurt or forget to put your lock back on your locker. What type of PE clothes can I wear when the weather is cold? Students may wear sweats when the weather turns cold. They must be either blue, white or gray. Sweats that have snaps or zippers all the way down the legs are not allowed due to safety reasons. What happens if I choose not to dress for PE? Students are offered loaner clothes if they forget their clothes at home, they must have an ID card to borrow. If they still refuse to dress for class, they will be sent up to the office and receive two hours of Saturday school for refusing to dress. Students who make it a habit of borrowing loaner clothes may be assigned detention. Are we allowed to wear hats during PE? Students are allowed to wear hats in Physical Education as long as they have a 360 degree bill on them, (a bill that goes all the way around like a cowboy hat or a lifeguard hat). During the winter months we also allow the students to wear beanies. The students are not allowed to wear these items during the school day, only in their Physical Education class. The first area is movement skills, the physical things that we do in class. The second area is social skills, this is how students treat each other, their teacher and how they interact with other students. The third area is cognitive skills.
