Language Arts and Social Studies Departments Mission Statement:

As educators and part of a growing Multicultural and Multilingual 
community, our goal is to promote awareness, acceptance, and 
understanding of issues of equity and diversity.  Racism, classism, 
and sexism will be discussed through the delivery of United States 
History and various Language Arts stories.  The importance of 
history, language,, and literacy are our focal points as we venture 
with our students through our global community.
