At Lee Middle School, every student is a wildcat that follows the Wild Cat
Way. While the Wild Cat Way and school rules are in effect everywhere on
campus, including this classroom, here are a few more guidelines of what is
expected of you in this class.
1. Be respectful:
This means respect for the classroom, the other students, the teacher, and to
anyone else who enters the classroom.
2. Be prepared for class:
Every day you need to come to class with all the materials you might need
that day (i.e. book, pen or pencil, paper, assignments, and unit packet).
You also need to come to class with a positive attitude and be ready to
learn.
3. Turn in work on time:
It is important that all work is completed as it is assigned. The work does
not help you learn if it is completed after the test. Here are the rules for
work that is turned in late:
1. Homework that is turned in while the assignment is still in the box
will be given a maximum of ½ credit
2. Homework that is turned in after the assignment is collected from the
box will be given a maximum of ¼ credit
3. Assignments worth 25 points or more will drop a ½ letter grade for
every day that it is late (i.e. A → B+, B → C+).
***If you are having trouble completing an assignment on time, make sure to
talk to the teacher before the due date rather than after.
4. Follow instructions:
To make the most of class time it is important to know exactly what is
expected of you and to follow through with those expectations. Remember, the
key to following instructions is to listen carefully when instructions are
given. If the instructions are not clear make sure you ask the teacher for
clarification.
5. Be a positive asset to the class:
Everyone in the class needs to bring positive energy to the class. This
includes maintaining a positive attitude, giving constructive ideas, and
participating in class discussions. You are a valuable resource that is
important to the class!
6. Always remember: each student has a responsibility to make learning
possible for all others
You each play an important role in how learning is achieved in this
classroom, and it is your responsibility to make learning possible. When you
distract others, you are making it impossible for them to learn.
