Your child will go through one story a week until the Theme is finished. We will then do two weeks of review and intense writing. On Monday they will typiclly be introduced to the story, the comprehension concept, and a phonics lesson that goes with the spelling words. Tuesday they will learn their vocabulary words, high frequency words, and the grammer concept which will be practiced daily. Wednesday we will read the story and discuss the strategy and skill focus. Thursday we will review the story, go over the comprehension skill, complete some phonics review. Friday they will take a spelling, grammer, and reading test. We will also review other information and study skills.
