This Week In Room 8
Weeks of: 5/21 - 5/25

The students have been reading a variety of books this week.  One of the groups started reading books about folktales and tricksters.  Another group has been reading Diary of a Fly.  They are now writing their own diary of an animal.  The third grade group read about Paul Bunyan.  They will read a couple more tall tales and write their own adventure for Paul Bunyan.  

In Mrs. Kalla's math group, the students started learning simple multiplication and division.  The first grade group continues to work on subtraction.  The third grade group learned about multiplying more than 1 digit.  They also started long division.
