There are many opportunities for volunteering such as:
Rolling Readers. This group of volunteers commits to reading with one of our
students one hour a week regularly. Specific training is needed to
participate in this program. This is a regular weekly/hourly commitment.
Security– This group of volunteers will serve as greeter to all that come
on campus to ensure that all visitors follow appropriate protocol for being
on campus and ensure that our students are safe and secure
Donor– This group of volunteers will work to develop a community network of
interested members that will commit to providing substantial gifts/donations
to the LFCS 501(c) 3 organization to enhance the program options for
students at LFCS.
Popcorn Kart– This group of volunteers will regularly have the popcorn
machine on the playground during recess for student treats. They will make
sure that all the ingredients needed are purchased and available as well as
maintain the condition of the machine.
Program parents– This group of volunteers works as needed in the
preparation and delivery of our special school programs. Volunteers may
provide costumes, props, décor or leadership the night of the event.
Garden– This group of volunteers works with the Garden at the Primary
Academy and the new developing garden project at the Junior Academy. This is
a great opportunity to work with students in calm, and hands on manner while
training children in the craft and art of gardening, as well as developing
the character trait of responsibility and caring.
