• STAR testing is right around the corner. Mulitple times during the week, we are practicing for our big test. We are working on proper test taking skills and mastering the art of multiple choice tests!

• This week we will be working on STAR Testing!

Spelling:

• Your child will have their spelling words written in their planners. You can also find the spelling words on our homepage under the spelling link. The test will be this Friday (4/24), so please make sure you and your child practice spelling each word.
• Spelling homework remains the same each week and is as follows:
• Monday: Spelling Fractions
• Tuesday: Dictionary skills for 5 words 
• Wednesday: Newspaper, use 10 words
• Thursday: Study words

Math:

• We have officially finished our math book. We will not be switiching classes for math any longer, however we will be doing review work in our own class.
• We have begun our timed multiplication tests! Tests will be given each Monday and Friday to increase student automaticity with their times tables. Each test has 100 questions, and they must get them all right and completed in 3 min to move on to the next number.

• We will be starting our new science unit on matter.

• Thank you to everyone who chaperoned on our field trip to Chabot! I hope everyone enjoyed themselves, and I so wish I could have been there!
• Please start collecting your boxtops and send them in with your child!
