Lori Pope was raised in Northern California, graduating from Rio Linda
Academy in 1976. She then went to Pacific Union College for two years before
transferring to La Sierra University where she graduated in 1980. She has
taught for a total of twenty-three years, having taken a nine year break to
be a mom. Twenty of those years have been in 5th grade. She lives in Grand
Terrace with her husband and two of her three children.
Lori has been a master teacher for students from the Loma Linda University
Education department and a mentor teacher to new teachers. She is the
chairperson for Loma Linda Academy's K - 6 Curriculum Committee, a member
of the K - 12 Curriculum Committee, and a member of the Curriculum Committee
of the Southeastern California Conference of SDA. She has been nominated by
former students to be in the 2003 -2004, 2005-2006, and 2006-2007 Who's Who
Among America's Teachers Yearbook.
My mission is to teach children to love Jesus, accepting Him as their
personal Savior; to love others, no matter how they are alike or different
from themselves; and to be amazed at all the wonderful things God has
created for all of us to learn.
