Dear Parents,

I CAN'T BELIEVE WE ONLY HAVE TWO MORE WEEKS OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!  Where has the time gone?  I remember greeting the students at the door on the first day of school back in August.  They seemed like babies back then!  They have grown in so many ways and have learned so much this year.  I'm SOOO proud of all of them!!!

State Reports:  Reports and shoe boxes are due THIS FRIDAY the 25th.  We have been working on the reports mostly at school, but there might be some things that your child needs to look up on the internet at home.  The shoe boxes and reports that have been turned in so far are great!

This Thursday is SOLO DAY in music class.  If your child would like to perform, Mrs. Pawluk is requiring a signed note by a parent indicating that your he/she is ready to do so.  If you have any questions, please call her at x1183.

BOOK EXCHANGE in the library this week:  If your child has books that he/she does not want any longer, he/she may bring them to Mrs. Nelson, then during our library time (Wednesday this week) they can be "swapped" with books your child would like to read.  It's a fun program!

DRAYSON CENTER SWIMMING AND LUNCH!!:  A purple note was sent home in your child's folder today regarding the lunch.  We need parent help!!!  Please contact Deia Williams to tell her how you can help.  There is also a PERMISSION SLIP for Drayson in your child's folder - please sign and return by THIS FRIDAY.  There is NO SCHOOL on Monday so I need the slips back this week.  Thanks.

HOMEWORK THIS WEEK:
Math - 2 sheets, front and back.  PLEASE check your child's math homework before he/she brings it back to school on Friday.  Division with remainders!!
Spelling - study all words from the last 5 lessons for the review test on Friday.
Soc. Studies - continue working on your shoebox and report, if not yet complete.
Reading - read at least 15 minutes at home each day.  Five more students need to reach their AR goals so we can move desks anywhere we want!

NEXT WEEK (Last Week of School): 
MONDAY - No school
TUESDAY - Swimming at Drayson Center, then lunch.  Regular afternoon classes.
WEDNESDAY - regular school day
THURSDAY - Minimum Day (out at noon)
FRIDAY - Minimum Day (out at noon)
