My name is Penny Richards. I was born and raised in San Diego, California in
a large family, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. I attended public school K-8 and
then went to San Diego Academy where I graduated from High School in 1972.

I attended Loma Linda University and graduated in 1976.

My first teaching experience was at Redlands Junior Academy 1979-1986 where I
taught science and physical education and my husband worked at L.L.U. We had
our two wonderful sons at Redlands Community Hospital in 1980 and 1983.

Next stop was Atlanta, GA I taught 5th grade in the public system and then
2nd grade in a small S.D.A. school, that was 1987-1992. My husband was
employed at Emory University.

1992 our family moved once again to Northern VA where my husband worked for
the government and commuted each day to Washington D.C. and I taught in
Fairfax County Public Schools 5th grade.

1996 we headed back to California and I was hired to teach at Loma Linda
Academy and my husband worked at CalTech. Our two sons attended Loma Linda
Academy and graduated in 1998 and 2001.

I am blessed with a great family, John my husband, Jesse and Jake my sons,
Brandie my daughter-in-law and two grandsons, Ethan 6 and Aidan 4. God is so
Good!!! We live in Highland, .5 miles from the grandkids! Ethan now is in 1st
grade at L.L.E. so the cycle begins again, needless to say, I am a HUGE fan
of Loma Linda Academy!

I love life, gardening, sewing, eating, knitting, traveling, reading, and
hanging out with my family and friends.
