Animal Presentation

Dear Parents

Animal Reports Presented To The Class

Everyone has written an animal report, already bound into a book. Bravo! You’ll be proud of their efforts.

All the work is theirs. The cover page was made in computer class. The words were written in class. They researched from Ranger Rick Magazines and from the internet, then said it in their own words.

Every page has illustrations.

Tell about your animal in about 3-5 minutes.

Please help your students prepare a presentation of their animals to the class.

It will have 5 parts: introduction, appearance, habitat, food and interesting facts.

Yes, this is the same format as the book.

By all means refer to your book, a page here or there.

But DO NOT READ FROM THE BOOK.

That will not keep our attention.

Remember the important points are:

·

Grab our attention at the beginning (by using voice intonation, a prop, your actions, body movement …)

·

Use props (the best props are the ones you create yourself using everyday materials already in your home. Others include your large photocopied pictures. The illustrations in your report, though so beautifully drawn, are too small to show everyone)

·

Speak loudly

·

Look at the audience

Note:

Please TALK TO US, DON'T READ TO US.

Please DON’T RUSH OUT AND BUY PROPS

Please make this a  simple presentation using maximum creativity and minimum of fuss.

Please sign up for a day in the near future.
