This is my eighth year teaching at Longley Way. I taught three years in first grade, and this is my fifth
year teaching Kindergarten. Before teaching I was a stay-at-home mom with my three boys--who are
now ages 24, 23, and 16.
When I thought that my children had had enough of me volunteering in their classrooms, I decided to
become a teacher so I could have my own class. I went back to school and graduated with my teaching
credential form Azusa Pacific University in 2002. After being hired in Arcadia, I did some long-term
substituting in forth grade, First grade, and Kindergarten. Then, when I received a full-time teaching
position, I decided to go back to school and get my Masters Degree--also from APU.
I really love the challenges and gratification of teaching at the Kindergarten level. Children of this
young age are happy, enthusiastic, and ready to learn. I enjoy going to work every day, and look
forward to being a positive influence in all my student's lives!
