worked for 8 years as a teacher in elementary schools in both mainstream and
special needs classes. While she was working in London she completed a year
of in-service teacher training in order to become a qualified teacher in
British schools. Mrs. Hibbert moved to California in July 2008. Mrs. Hibbert
received training in the Step up to Writing program and completed several
Making Math Real courses since she moved to California. She is a trained
tutor of Time management-Organizational skills and Study skills.
Through building self-esteem and creating opportunities to succeed in a
Christ-centered environment, Mrs. Hibbert believes it is possible for each
child to reach his or her potential.
Our school mission is "To train children in heart, mind, soul, and body to
become balanced Christ-like students who earnestly seek to know, love, and
serve God." In 5th Grade, students learn to apply both Biblical and academic
principals to their daily lives. United States history is the main focus for
many of the projects and activities that take place during the year. The two
main long-term projects are the state report and a reading related project,
which both require each student to conduct research and complete both written
and oral reports. It is our goal to prepare our students to be successful
when they transition to Middle School next year.
