If you would like to have your student sit out of P.E. because of a personal
reason or an injury, please send a note in with them. If they have a note
with them, then they are allowed to sit out when they want and join in when
they want. Some like to participate even when they are not supposed to,
which if the
note says they are not allowed to participate, then I have them sit out
without question.
A note is better than a phone call or a e-mail because I might not check my e-
mail or phone messages until after your student has had P.E.. I really like
it when the student hands the note to me, because I know I received it and
the other students can see that I have a note. However, I have gotten better
and will continue to get better on making sure I check my e-mail before
school starts.
