Middle School Electives Computer Study Hall: Students are enrolled in this class if they have not passed the Typing test. The typing speed to pass is 25 AWPM with 90% accuracy. All returning and new students need to meet these requirements. The class will be offered through out the year on Tuesday. Computer Graphics: Using several programs from Paint to Power Point to create computer graphics. Offered during the 1st Quarter and taught by Mr. Nico Roundy. Stop Motion Animation: Learn to create animation using shapes, objects and images. Design your own animation movie by using the concept of stop motion: the creation of movement frame by frame. The class will be offered during the 2nd Quarter. Computer Game Design: Have you ever wanted to create your own game? From a mystery, a who done it, CSI follow the evident, to a write your own ending to a story; you can develop a computer game design for it. The class will be offered during the 2nd Quarter. Digital Animation: Creating animation using a digital camera. Make an animation film using Legos, stuff animals, or action figures. Learn to use a digital camera and create movement picture by picture. Offered during the 3rd Quarter and taught by Mr. Nico Roundy. Digital Camera: Students will learn the basic use of a digital camera. They will be taking pictures from topics like: pictures of me, scavenger hunt, objects with same colors, objects from different angles. Learning to crop and adjusting the light and darkness of a picture will be covered. Each student will learn to upload their pictures into their folder and create a photo album. Offered during the 3rd Quarter and taught by Mr. Nico Roundy. Yearbook: Learn to produce a Yearbook from cover to autograph page. Designing, layouts, editing, advertising, to creating order forms will be covered to help the student understand how to publish a Yearbook for the school. The class will be offered during the 4th Quarter, a two section elective.
