Thank you to all our Room Moms and parents for all your hard work in making the Chili Cook-Off 
such a success. The students enjoyed the theme and the part they played. The booth was 
outstanding and the students came in today thrilled about the success of the chili!!! Thanks 
Julie and all our tasters!

to change into during LUNCH RECESS 
 (i.e. Spanish explorers, Padres, Spanish Soldiers, Native American Indians, 
  Californios – 49ers—GOLD RUSH!. – Check TEXT for ideas)     Costuming is NOT mandatory
I hope all of the students will be here for this because it is an important Fourth Grade 
Activity AND a lot of fun.

NEWS FLASH
SEPTEMBER 29, 2008
The school will be participating in National Denim Day again this year on October 3. Students 
may wear denim that day if they pay $5. The $5 goes to breast cancer research. Mrs. Goff will be 
collecting the $5 at carpool. This is a wonderful fundraiser for community service.
