Missions

FOURTH GRADE MISSION CONSTRUCTION (12/1/11)

Some students are ready to start their missions now! Here are the guidelines 
for the CONSTRUCTION of the missions. 

!!! Mission CHOICE deadline – Friday, December 16 !!!

** DUE DATE (MODELS due Monday, February 13, 2012 a.m.)  

** Students may select ANY California mission* they wish
** Work individually or with a 4A or 4B partner 
** Don't spend a lot of $ (effort, key details, unique 
   aspects, and creativity are worth more)
** Size (The base NOT larger than 2' long by 1 1/2' wide) 
    Smaller is fine.
** Materials (anything within reason – No sugar cubes)
(i.e. cardboard, play dough, Lego... or a combination of different 
materials)  

Information the students need to know for their oral reports. Short 
JOTS/notes (no sentences) about: (on note cards or paper)

	Materials used for construction
	Approximate TIME to assemble and finish
	Problems in construction
	Interesting facts learned about the mission during construction
	What stood out the most during this project
