Announcements

Week of 2/6/2012:

  • Open House on campus for prospective families - Thursday, Feb. 6.
  • Please keep Mr. & Mrs. Bryant in your prayers this week.
  • Lion's Life Manner of the Week:
    Even if a play or assembly is boring, sit through it quietly and pretend that you are enjoying it. The performers and presenters are doing their best.

 


Week of 1/30/2012:

 

  • Binders may be cleaned out. Please save all papers for current chapters.
    • 8th grade - save ch. 8
    • 7th grade - save ch. 7
    • 6th grade - save ch. 6
  • Don't forget the Red Carpet Event on Friday night!
  • Lion's Life Manner of the Week:
    Do not make fun of anyone for any reason. Teasing shows others you are weak, and ganging up on someone else is cruel.             

Week of 1/23/2012:

  • 1 week down - only 17 to go!
  • DO NOT CLEAN OUT YOUR BINDER YET!! Wait until after report cards are posted.

    Don't call people mean names.


Week of 1/17/2012:

  • Welcome to 2nd semester!
  • This is a good time to check all your supplies! (see list below)

Never use foul language in front of adults.
Grown-ups already know all those words,
and they find them boring and unpleasant.

Class Expectations and Supplies Needed:
  • Expectations:
    • Come to class willing to learn.
    • Come to class prepared to learn
        • Arrive on time
        • Make sure homework is complete
        • Have all necessary materials
        • Do not interrupt class unnecessarily

  • Binder Set-up (Science): Each student should set up the science portion of their notebook with the following dividers:
      • Notes
      • Graded Work
      • Tests/Quizzes
      • Folder with 2 sections: "Completed Work" and "To Be Completed"

  • Binder Set-up (Math): Each student should set up the math portion of their notebook with the following dividers:
      • Notes
      • Graded HW
      • Tests/Quizzes
      • Folder with 2 sections: "Completed Work" and "To Be Completed"

  • Required supplies: Each student should come to class each day with the following supplies:
    • Planner
    • Binder (set up as indicated above)
    • Book
    • Notebook paper
    • 2 Pencils (with #2 lead) or 2 blue/black pens (PENCIL ONLY for all math lessons)
    • Red pen for grading
  • Accessible Supplies:
    • Colored pencils or markers
    • scissors
    • glue stick
    • USB drive
