3rd grade Homework News/Friday Folders
Homework Policy:
Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday nights. It will be a review of class work. Each nigh students will be assigned at least one math page and one language arts assignment. This work should take no longer than 30 minutes. In addition to these assignments, students are asked to read for at least 20 minutes nightly, ultimately working up to 30 minutes. Please initial in your child’s planner on the bottom of each page below where they write in their homework. These initials ensure the teacher that you checked your child’s homework and they read their nightly minutes. Students are expected to write their homework in their Student Planners and work is expected to be returned to school daily. If your child does not complete their homework, I will ask them to complete it at recess at school, this also includes if they did not do their nightly reading.
Friday Folders :
Every Friday a folder will be sent home with work completed from the week. Please check this folder for any notes home from the teacher or our Room Rep mom. We ask that all items be removed from the folder and the folder to be returned to school each Monday. This folder is a great way to communicate with me as well.
Wednesday Folders:
Every Wednesday a folder will be sent home with flyers and information from MATES and other after school activities. Please empty out the folders, and you may return any slips/money in the folder the next day. I am happy to turn in the paperwork for you.
